WQB Mold Removal treats toxigenic black mold as its own category of Beaverton job, with stricter PPE, full containment, and independent clearance testing built into every step.
We built this service around the health stakes involved — families searching for answers about respiratory symptoms, buyers wary of a flagged inspection report, landlords facing a tenant complaint.
Four reasons Beaverton property owners trust us with this specific job.
Protective equipment gets replaced between jobs, never reused across properties. Every technician on a toxigenic job has completed specialized containment training beyond standard certification.
Negative air machines and sealed plastic barriers keep spores from spreading beyond the contaminated area during removal. We log air quality readings throughout the Beaverton job, not just at the start and end.
Our process follows protocols designed around occupant safety, not just cosmetic cleanup. Every technician on a toxigenic job has completed specialized containment training beyond standard certification.
We understand this diagnosis creates urgency, and our dispatch reflects that. We log air quality readings throughout the Beaverton job, not just at the start and end.
Every Beaverton job gets scoped to the specific problem, not a generic checklist.
Before full containment begins, we confirm species through sampling, since not all black-colored mold is actually Stachybotrys.
Heavy plastic sheeting and negative air pressure isolate the contaminated zone before any material is disturbed.
Equipment stays in place through post-treatment testing, not just during active demolition.
Porous materials with active toxigenic growth — drywall, insulation, carpet padding — typically can't be salvaged and get removed per protocol.
We recommend a third-party lab handle clearance testing for objectivity on a job this serious.
We won't tell a Beaverton family it's safe to move back into a treated space until documented testing backs that up.

Answers to what Beaverton customers ask before booking black mold removal.
Stachybotrys chartarum specifically has been linked to respiratory symptoms in some occupants, especially with prolonged exposure.
For extensive contamination, we may recommend temporary relocation, especially for anyone with respiratory sensitivity.
The underlying goal is the same — get rid of it — but the health stakes change how carefully the process is run.
A sample sent to an independent lab is the only way to confirm species with certainty.
Coverage depends on your policy and the underlying cause of the moisture, so it's worth a call to your insurer.
